Skimming through yahoo!news today I discovered an article entitled "Kisses unleash chemicals that ease stress levels". Although I found this info pretty interesting, it actually kind of made me mad... who cares what kissing does to people? It's kissing regardless of the scientific explanation for its chemical affects on the human body. This reminds me of a story I heard on the news a few months ago that exclaimed, "Scientists finally prove that laughter IS the best medicine." Why did that need proving? It really bothers me that scientists feel the did to 'discover' the details behind relatively simple actions, making them far more complicated than necessary. It's all good and dandy that they have something to do, I guess, but I think that a lot of things in life should be allowed to escape science's grasp. Defining, describing, experimenting, all makes the thing examined less magical and exotic or simply less fun. I personally like to accept things for what they are and not try to examine every detail of it.
